For implementation and subsequent operation of Delhi MRTS, a company under the name DELHI METRO RAIL CORPORATION was registered on 03-05-95 under the Companies Act, 1956. DMRC has equal equity participation from GOI and GNCTD.Metro rail service in Delhi has come as a much awaited gift for the people of Delhi, which has indeed changed the transport facility of the city. It has become the “life line” of Delhi as people are dependent on Delhi Metro for commuting to different places within the city. Delhi Metro Project has been recognized all over the world for its specialty in terms of a hi-tech rail and better equipped transport system. The project is under the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, DMRC and it deserves all the credit for transforming the transport service of the city.

Red Line – Rithal to Dislshad Garden

Yellow Line – Jahangir Puri to Huda City Center Gurgaon Via Kashmere Gate and Central Sect.

Blue Line – Dwarka Sector 21 to Noida City Center and Anand Vihar, Kaushambhi, Vaishali Via Yamuna Bank

Green Line – Mundka to Inderlok / Kirti Nagar

Voilet Line – Central Sect to BadarPur

Orange Line – New Delhi to IGI Airport Via Daula Kuan

Delhi Metro Timing:

The Metro Trains run from 6/00 AM in the morning till about 11/00 PM in the night. The trains on the elevated section between Dilshad Garden and Rithala cover a distance of 25.1 Kms in about 45 minutes. The frequency of train services in the elevated section varies from 3 minutes during peak hours upto 12 minutes during non peak hours. The 44 Kms section between Jahangirpuri and HUDA City Centre(Gurgaon) is covered in about 1 Hrs. 30 minutes. The train frequency varies from 3 minutes at peak time upto 12 minutes in non peak hours. Line III (Noida City Centre – Dwarka Sector 21) covers a distance of 49 Kms approx. The frequency varies 3 minutes at peak hours and 12 minutes in non peak hours and is covered in 1 hrs. 30 Mins. approx. Line IV (Yamuna Bank – Anand Vihar(ISBT)) covers a distance of 6.25 kms. The frequency varies 6 minutes at peak hours and 12 minutes in non peak hours. The 6.25 Kms section between Yamuna Bank – Anand Vihar(ISBT) section is covered in 10 minutes approx. The 15.15 KM long Inderlok – Mundka section is covered in about 30 Mins. Frequency on this section is about 10 mins. The 15 KM long Central Secretariat – Sartita Vihar section is covered in approxi. 30 mins. Frequency varies from 4 mins during peak hours to 12 mins in non peak hours. The cost for traveling in Delhi Metro ranges from Rs. 8 (minimum) to Rs. 30 (maximum) at present Metro Timings Metro services will start from 0600 hrs as usual.

Delhi Metro Station List:

Line 1:- Dilshad Garden to Rithala Station List:

The distance covered between Dilshad Garden – Rithala is 25.15 Kms. There are 21 stations on this route. There are about 22 trains running on Line No.1 Dilshad Garden – Rithala. The metro trains running from 6 A.M. in the morning till 11 P.M. in the night are available at a frequency of 4 minutes. At present, Line 1 between Dilshad Garden and Rithala is fully operational. The fare for traveling on this line ranges from Rs.6/- to Rs.23.

The Stations in this line are Dilshad Garden, Jhilmil, Mansarovar Park, Shahdara, Welcome, Seelampur, Shastri Park, ISBT (Kashmere Gate), Tis Hazari, Pul Bangash, Pratap Nagar, Vivekanand Puri and Inder Lok (earlier Tri Nagar), Kanhiya Nagar, Kesahv Puram, Wazir Pur, Kohat Enclave, Pitam Pura, Rohini East, Rohini West, and Rithala.

Line 2:- Jahangirpuri to Central Secretariat Station List:

Line 2 operating between Jahangirpuri – Central Secretariat covers a distance of 17.36 kms. There are 15 stations on this route. The trains available on this line are generally available at a frequency of 8 minutes during peak hours. The cost of traveling on this route usually ranges from Rs 6/ to Rs 19.

The Stations in this line are Jahangirpuri, Aadarsh Nagar, Azadpur, Model Town, GTB Nagar, Vishwavidyalaya, Vidhan Sabha, Civil Lines, Kashmeri Gate, Delhi Main, Chandni Chowk, Chawri Bazar, New Delhi, Rajiv Chowk, Patel Chowk and Central Secretariat.

Line-3:- Indraprastha to Barakhamba Road to Dwarka Station List:

Operating across 31 stations is Line 3. The distance on this route is 32.1 Kms. The total time taken to cover all the 31 stations is about 60 minutes. The fare for traveling on this route ranges from Rs 6 to Rs 23.

The Stations in this line are Indraprastha, Pragati Maidan, Mandi House, Barakhamba, Rajiv Chowk, R.K. Ashram Marg, Jhandewalan, Karol Bagh, Rajendra Place, Patel Nagar, Shadipur, Kirti Nagar, Moti Nagar, Ramesh Nagar, Rajouri Garden, Tagore Garden, Subhash Nagar, Tilak Nagar, Janakpuri (East), Janakpuri (West), Uttam Nagar East, Uttam Nagar West, Nawada, Dwarka Mor, Dwarka. Dwarka Sector 14, Dwarka Sector 13, Dwarka Sector 12, Dwarka Sector 11, Dwarka Sector 10 and Dwarka Sector 9.

Line 4:- Yamuna Bank to Anand Vihar Station List:

Recently completed in January 2010 Line 4 operates across 5 stations. The distance covered on this route is 6.25 Kms. The cost of traveling on this route ranges between Rs 6 to Rs 12.

The Stations in this line are Laxmi Nagar, Nirman Vihar, Preet Vihar, Karkarduma and Anand Vihar

Line 5:- Inderlok to Mundka Station List:

This is the most recently added line to the Delhi metro network. It also happens to be the second line that offers the standard-gauge corridor after Line 4. The total distance covered on this route is approximately 22 km. Line 5 covers 18 stations and fare for traveling this route ranges from Rs 8 to 18.

The Stations in this line are Interlok, Ashok Park Main, Punjabi Bagh, Shivaji Park, Madipur, Paschim Vihar East, Paschim Vihar West, Peeragarhi, Udyog Nagar, Surajmal Stadium, Nangloi, Nangloi Railway Station, Rajdhani Park and Mund

Line 6:- Central Secretariat to Badarpur Station List:

The 6th Line running from Central Secretariat to Badarpur began operations in October 2010. The route covers a total distance of 22 km that includes 16 important stations. The minimum fare required for traveling on Line 6 is Rs 10 and maximum amount is Rs 21.

The Stations in this line are Central Secretariat, Khan Market, JLN Stadium, Jangpura, Lajpat Nagar, Moolchand, Kailash Colony, Nehru Place, Kalkaji Mandir, Govindpuri, Okhla, Jasola – Apollo, Sarita Vihar, Mohan Estate, Tughlakabad, Badarpur

Line 7:- Airport Express to Dwarka Sector 21 Station List:

This was one of the much awaited metro railway lines that got safely cleared only a few days back. There are 6 stations on Line 6 and the total distance covered in this route is 22.7 km. This line links the Indira Gandhi International Airport to the New Delhi Railway Station. The fare on this route ranges from Rs 8 to Rs 30 and the frequency of the trains is 10 minutes.

The Stations in this line are New Delhi, Shivaji stadium, Dhaula Kuan, Delhi Aerocity, IGI Airport and Dwarka sector 21.
